This part of the site is for those who would like to receive further information and guidance about ways to help them pray effectively for Iran and/or for those who are serving God in this area. We have divided this part into three sections – the church in Iran, the people of Iran, and 222 Ministries. There are also some praise points at the end!

Praise God for…

The Church in Iran
There is increased pressure, intimidation and persecution of Christians in Iran (you can find out more in Iran>Church). Please pray that God will:
- Protect Christians from attack
- Strengthen the church, particularly those who are in leadership
- Give supernatural wisdom and strength to leaders who are under constant pressure to co-operate with the government
- Comfort those who are in custody or have family members in custody
- Comfort the families of martyrs and heal their wounds
Many thousands are coming to Christ and in many respects the church is struggling to cope with the vast needs that result from this. This is made more difficult because the government constantly tries to infiltrate the church with spies. Please pray that God will:
- Meet the spiritual needs of new believers
- Bring new believers into contact with Christians who can disciple them (sometimes this requires supernatural intervention, particularly for those who come to Christ through dreams and visions!)
- Guide new believers to appropriate media outlets through which they can be helped to grow and be edified in their faith (TV, Internet, Radio)
- Protect the seed that is planted in young Christians so it takes strong root and grows (see Matthew 13:18-23: pray for understanding as they hear the word of God, pray that strong roots will be develop in them so that they can stand strong when persecution comes, pray against distraction by the worries of life)
- Strengthen new Christians in their witness and save the rest of their family – most face strong opposition from family members but the majority of those who continue to grow in their faith and demonstrate the love of Jesus to their family have incredible testimonies of how God then used them to reach their entire family for Christ!
- Give wisdom to Christians to discern when a spy is trying to infiltrate their group
- Protect the Mullahs who are coming to Christ – their lives are in the greatest danger – and use them to further His work in the places of government and authority!
The People of Iran
Though thousands are coming to Christ (and for this we praise God) there are many millions who still need to be reached. Iran has a population of more than 70 million and its neighbouring Afghanistan and Tajikistan comprise a further 30 million Farsi speakers, all in need of Jesus Christ! Please pray for those who are lost, and for those who are in specific need. Pray for:
- Muslim leaders – that God will bring about miraculous Saul-to-Paul conversions
- Those in education and non-clerics in government – that God will save people of influence
- The women – that God will unveil their eyes (in more ways than one!) and allow them to see the truth of Islam rather than believing the lies; there are also some 600,000 prostitutes in Iran – pray that they will be exposed to the love of God and they will be restored
- The children (28 million under the age of 18) – that God will save them in their youth
- The young people (more than 20 million between the ages of 18 and 25) – that God will save them in their youth; pray particularly that God will expose them to the message of Jesus Christ through Christian websites and television channels
- University students (3 million) – that they will hear and accept the message of the gospel as they pursue education and knowledge
- Those suffering from depression (some 15 million people!) – pray they will find Jesus and receive His peace and healing (we receive many testimonies of Jesus healing the clinically depressed and many come to Christ because of this)
222 Ministries
We rely on God to cover all that we do – the Bible clearly states that unless GOD builds the house, we labour in vain (Psalm 127:1). We want God to build His house in Iran! We want HIS purposes fulfilled and our desire is that we will only engage in activities that are inspired by Him, and submit to His ways, His plans and His purposes. Please pray that we will:
- Continue to hear from God in all that we do and ensure that we spend our time and resources on exactly what God would want us to – no more, no less, no deviation!
- Work in unity and love
Please also intercede on our behalf for the following:
- The provision of financial resources
- Workers for the harvest – there are currently some key leadership roles in our ministry for which we are trusting God; please pray that He will provide! Please pray that God will give our senior pastors wisdom in identifying and raising up the next generation of leaders.
- Wisdom in strategy for discipling the vast quantities of new believers in Iran.
- Protection over projects. Security is a constant concern – if the government hears of some of our projects in advance, it will do everything in its power to ensure they never materialise.
- Protection from the infiltration of spies and wisdom among the leadership to identify these threats.
- Protection over families and marriages, especially of pastors and leaders.
Please also pray for others who serve in mission to Iran – there are only a handful of dedicated ministries for Iran and the need is for many more! Please pray that God will bless and prosper the plans of all who serve in Iran, and that He will give us all the grace and humility to work together in partnership. Also pray that God will lead others into this area of ministry too!

- The way in which he has opened the hearts and minds of Iranians to the Gospel of Jesus Christ
- The provision of media through which we can reach millions of searching Iranians
- Christians in Iran – for their faithfulness in faith and ministry, despite the oppressions
- The salvation of thousands of Iranians
- Those who serve in missions to Iran
- Leading you to this website… he must have plans for you!
